Cheri Rowden earned both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s of Science degree from the School of Criminal Justice and Criminology at Texas State University, joining the School as a member of the adjunct teaching faculty in 2011. In 2012, Cheri began working in the School’s Center for Geospatial Intelligence and Investigation as the assistant to Center Director and University Chair in Criminology, Dr. Kim Rossmo. Currently, Cheri is the assistant to the Director of the School of Criminal Justice and Criminology. Along with acting as the School’s grant manager, Cheri’s responsibilities include overseeing all budget-related processes including hiring, payroll, purchasing, travel, and time administration.

Kelly Gourluck earned a Bachelor of General Studies Degree (with emphases in Sociology, Psychology, and Health Communication) and a Graduate Certificate in Professional Ethics from Texas State University. She has previously held staff positions with the Alumni and Future Student Welcome Center and the Department of Mathematics. She is a member of the Texas State Staff Council. Kelly’s responsibilities include maintaining all technical equipment for faculty and staff, providing course overrides for students, and assisting with any faculty or staff requests.

Miranda Najera earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and a Master of Arts degree in Legal Studies from Texas State University. After spending almost four years as a legal assistant and paralegal, both in the public and private sectors, she now joins the School of Criminal Justice and Criminology as an Administrative Assistant II for the master’s and doctoral programs. Miranda’s responsibilities include assisting the coordinators of each program with tracking student progress; processing hiring and travel for graduate students; handling Graduate College and other university administration-related forms; and providing general support for masters and doctoral students.
